we are a very small business/community operating in an economically demanding time and place. sustaining communities like ours is dependent on financial support and generosity when possible. through sliding scale options, practice is available to anyone willing to practice consistently. donations are crucial in supporting this offering. our community is grateful for any extra contributions made. thank you for your consideration. donations can be made by cash, check, or venmo to: timothy-lynch-91946

new student information
new students and those just starting can join anytime and are welcome to observe class before making a month commitment. class observation timings: sun. arrive between 7 - 7:30a. mon. - thurs. arrive between 6:30 - 7:30a. send an introduction email beforehand. it is required that new students commit to a month and attend class 5 - 6 days a week (exceptions may be made for parents, etc., please enquire). you do not need to know the sequence! mysore practice is shared through one on one interaction with a guide. the class structure is there to support students in building steadiness and routine. questions about this policy? let me know. i’m happy to explain. the class timing listed is not indicative of the length of each person’s practice. a new student can expect and plan for practice to take 30 - 40 minutes in the beginning. as a student slowly adjusts over time, practice length will increase. students come at the time that works best for their schedule. please read through the entire website.

etiquette

- make payment before you begin classes - it is your responsibility to pay class fees on time.
- a mysore room is a place for healing and self study, for everyone.
- offer reverence for the sacred container of the practice space. enter quietly, place your mat gently down, and be considerate of others who may already be absorbed in moving meditation.
- things done in the practice space should only be practice related. for everything else, there is an abundance of lobby space.
- show up consistently for yourself and the community. every day practice is like fine combing through the nervous system - each day a new reflection to be with. show up for it. the yoga path takes courage and resilience.
- express concerns you may have in regards to hands on adjustments with the guide. there are consent chips for your use.
- keep yourself and your practice items clean and fragrance free.
- bring a small towel for sweating and adjustments.
- begin practice in the front of the room. take finishing poses and moon sequence practices in the back.
-
it’s advised not to eat within the three hours prior to practice. do not drink within the hour before practice. be sure to hydrate throughout the day after. warm or room temperature water is best.
- take time off practice for the heavy part of the menstrual cycle - ultimately your decision! there is a moon sequence i can offer as an alternative.
- consult with a teacher before you add on or take out postures from the sequence.
- keep “stretchy time” and warm ups in the mysore room to a bare minimum.
- take your time. better to have a short practice with a depth of attention and breath than to rush through many asanas.
- leave ample time for finishing postures and at least 10 minutes of rest! integration is as important as action.
